Product description

Certified organic, cold-pressed Nilotica from 70 wild-harvested Nilotica nuts. That’s the only ingredient in this luxuriously rich balm-to-oil: the purest form of LXMI’s signature skin superfood. The whipped-effect formula melts instantly upon application, delivering barrier-supporting essential fatty acids (+25% compared to traditional Shea), the same powerful antioxidants as in green tea, soothing allantoin, and Vitamins A, E + K to hydrate, brighten, and protect skin — for a healthy, radiant complexion.

Use it as a deeply nourishing overnight mask, nutrient-dense daily moisturizer, barrier-restoring slugging balm, or on dry spots and hands throughout the day as needed.

The Melt is 100% plant-derived, vegan, organic, cruelty-free, gluten-free, unscented, unrefined, social impact-sourced, noncomedogenic, and dermatologist approved.

FAQs

Questions,
answered.

Still curious? Write to us at hello@lxmi.com

How do I use it?

The Melt is the ultimate multi-tasker. It's popular as a concentrated moisturizer, overnight or in-flight mask, lip treatment, after-sun or ski balm, shaving cream, beard balm, and on dry hands and cuticles, dry spots and elbows, small cuts, burns, split ends, and more.

A pea-sized amount is all you need, so a little goes a long way! Just massage a bit of balm anywhere your body needs some extra TLC.

Is LXMI cruelty-free?

Absolutely! None of our products (nor our ingredients) are tested on animals. The line is Leaping Bunny certified and vegan.

Is it stable, since it's 100% organic?

Yes it is! This formula contains 0% water, which allows it to be stable after opening. Just keep your product away from the sink, and you shouldn't experience any contamination issues.

The tube format is extra helpful in maintaining optimum performance, has a smaller carbon footprint (lighter packaging takes less fuel to ship), and is more travel- and gym-friendly.

Is it non-comedogenic? I have acne-prone skin.

Yes! Nilotica is non-comedogenic (meaning it won't clog pores). It can actually aid in clearing up blemish-prone skin as it works to calibrate the skin's sebum production and keep the skin deeply nourished.

Can I use it during pregnancy?

Absolutely — Pure Nilotica Melt is one of the safest skincare treatments to use during pregnancy. It's even so clean you can eat it, and we definitely recommend our delicious chocolate truffle recipe that includes raw Nilotica!

The Pure Nilotica Melt works great, for example, as a nipple balm, diaper rash cream, or stretch mark salve on growing bellies. It's unscented, gluten-free, and 100% organic.

Which skin types is it for?
  • Normal/combination
  • Dry
  • Sensitive
What is it a solution for?
  • Dryness
  • Dullness and uneven texture
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • A compromised barrier and skin sensitivity
Can I use the Copper Wand with the Melt?

Yes, absolutely! The copper-tipped applicator has two sides: one for scooping out the product (black, flat end) so you can distribute the right amount of product every time.

The copper ball tip is for distributing the product across your face and décolletage and giving yourself a lymphatic massage. You'll find that it provides a cooling and refreshing effect that stimulates the skin as you massage. We'd recommend specifically using it on the undereye area, to help reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness!

What is it?

A deeply nourishing overnight treatment to hydrate dry, damaged skin and smooth visible imperfections with 100% organic Nilotica Reserve™ from the Nile Valley.

The ultra-nurturing facial balm the Melt is 100% organic, cold-pressed Nilotica. The buttery formula melts instantly upon application, delivering powerful antioxidants (the same as found in green tea!), soothing allantoin, vitamin A, E & K, and 25% more essential fatty acids compared to Shea butter. It's great at moisturizing, brightening, and protecting the skin — helping to keep the barrier healthy and limit the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

LXMI sources Nilotica from the pristine Nile River Valley in Uganda, where local women are known to have glowing skin despite the dehydrating, rough climate. The rich, alluvial soil of this region lend a unique terroir to our key ingredient (Nilotica), earning it the distinction of Nilotica Reserve™.

What does social impact mean?

A social impact brand differs from a regular business, whose primary focus is profit. Like a non-profit, the main driver for an impact brand is to make a difference — but it sustains itself through the products or services it sells (not donations).

LXMI's impact mission centers around uplifting marginalized women & Indigenous communities and protecting biodiversity through ethical + regenerative ingredient harvesting. For us, doing good isn't an add-on or an afterthought to doing business — it's the foundation. Business is the vehicle, not the end goal. We exist to create meaningful change for people and the planet, and commerce is simply the engine that sustains and amplifies that impact.
