Privacy policy

Laxmi Beauty, Inc., doing business as LXMI (“LXMI,” “we,” “us”), operates lxmi.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. If you have questions, contact us at hello@lxmi.com.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order details when you buy from us, start a subscription, create an account, sign up for emails, write a review, join our referral or rewards program, or contact us.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Information collected automatically: your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, products added to your cart, how you arrived at our site, and similar data, collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see section 5).

2. How we use your information

  • To process and ship your orders, manage subscriptions, and provide customer service.
  • To send marketing emails, if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To run our reviews, referral and rewards programs.
  • To understand how our site is used, improve it, measure our advertising, and show you relevant ads.
  • To prevent fraud, keep our site secure, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

For customers in the EU and UK: we process your information to fulfill our contract with you (orders, subscriptions and customer service), with your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), to meet legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and for our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our business.

3. Who we share your information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • our e-commerce and checkout platform
  • payment processors and buy-now-pay-later providers
  • our subscription management provider
  • email marketing and sign-up form providers
  • product review, referral and rewards program providers
  • analytics and advertising partners
  • shipping carriers, to deliver your orders
  • other providers that help us operate the site, such as accessibility, store-locator, stock-alert and error-monitoring tools

We may also disclose your information if required by law, if you violate our Terms of Service, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some providers, such as payment processors, also handle your information under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. Our site may also link to other websites. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.

4. Advertising and your privacy choices
We use advertising cookies and pixels from our advertising partners to measure our ads and show you LXMI ads on other sites. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, this may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. You can opt out at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page (lxmi.com/pages/ccpa-opt-out). Where required by law, we also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser.

5. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential cookies, which make the cart, checkout and your account work.
  • Analytics cookies, which show us how the site is used.
  • Marketing cookies, which are used for advertising and email personalization.

Visitors in the EU and UK are asked for consent before analytics and marketing cookies are used. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work properly without essential cookies.

6. How long we keep your information
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to meet tax and accounting requirements (generally seven years). We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.

7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • receive a copy of it
  • object to or restrict how we use it
  • withdraw your consent at any time

To make a request, email hello@lxmi.com. We will respond within the time required by law (30 days in the EU and UK) and will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our emails or by emailing hello@lxmi.com. If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (see section 4). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

8. International transfers
LXMI is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EU or UK, we rely on our providers’ legal safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and our checkout is encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.

10. Children
Our site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. By using this site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority where you live, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website, and we will update the “Last updated” date below. If we make significant changes, we will let you know, for example by a notice on our site or by email.
