With LXMI 33 being our strongest act of environmental commitment to date,
we have partnered with environmental non-profit Conservation International and
the Trio Tribe in south Suriname in the protection of Tuhka nuts, a rare kind of brazil nut oil sourced directly from the Alalapadu community of Suriname in the Amazon.
This landmark project enables the tribe to protect 235,000 hectares of
pristine Amazon rainforest. That's the equivalent of 4.8 football fields of
rainforest protected per full-size bottle!

In the sustainable harvesting of our botanical raw ingredients, we not only empower underserved communities and marginalized women by paying them 3x the local living wages, but also enable them to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

Furthermore, by showing the locals the power of keeping these natural resources alive, it also provides a financial incentive to the local community to preserve the biodiversity in the region. By limiting deforestation and protect habitat loss for animals, together we can help combat climate change through our daily skincare habits.
